1. Week o’Workshops - $215

Explore, draw and create! 

This week we will learn and practice; 

  • various drawing and illustration techniques

  • discover and practice the various tools and media used to draw, ink, add color to drawings and illustrations

  • apply these materials and techniques towards making and understanding popular visual media such as comics and animation.

Spunky Arts will provide drawing materials, instructors, and a great learning environment. Students bring curiosity, creativity, and a drive for improvement. Students are also welcome to bring their sketchbooks if they have them.

2. Comics Camp: Anime & Manga - $215

We will introduce and practice many techniques used in the creation of comics, graphic novels, and animation with a focus on anime and manga, all in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Camp projects will include drawing studies and storytelling studies. Students will gain a better understanding of character design and development, story pacing, and art techniques used in the production of manga and anime. Time will be also available to answer any questions students may have about other aspects of drawing such as anatomy or style.

Spunky Arts will provide instruction, supplies, and a great learning environment. Students bring curiosity, creativity, and a drive for improvement!

3. Comics Camp: Animal & Monster Design - $215

Art camp for upper elementary students facilitated by comic artists and teachers.

We will make comics that feature all kinds of creatures, ranging from friendly little pets to the largest monsters. If your child likes to tell stories about animals and monsters, this is the camp for them.

We will discuss the basics of designing non-human characters, learn animal anatomy, create fantasy ecosystems, and tell all kinds of stories with our furry and scaly friends. We encourage learning and creativity in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

4. Drawing & Painting Camp for Younger Artists - $215

Summer drawing and painting camp for upper elementary students led by our drawing and painting instructors.

Campers will explore form, composition, color theory, and the joy of the creative process while making art to take home. All art skill levels are welcome, and we strive to create a supportive and constructive learning environment for everyone.

This camp encourages creative experimentation with a variety of traditional media and mark making techniques. Every student is encouraged to find their own artistic voice while also learning about other artists from around the world.
