Comics Creation Class

The art of creating comics combines drawing, creative writing and character development and teaches useful skills like sequencing and creative and critical thinking.  

Using prompts and activities, students will develop their own characters and story lines creating a book of their own comics by semester’s end! Facilitated by Comic artists.

 

Class Details

  • Ages 7–17

  • Classes are 60–90 minutes

  • Min. 5 students 

  • Supplies included when in person.

 
This class has really brought out the creativity in my “I hate crafts” kid. My son even asked for a drawing book at the book fair. :)

Comics Club for Ages 11-18 & Comics Club Junior for Ages 8-12

Beyond School! The art of creating comics combines drawing, creative writing and character development and teaches useful skills like sequencing and creative and critical thinking. Clubs allow space for tweens and teens to bond over common interests.

Using prompts and activities, students will develop their own characters and story lines creating a book of their own comics, zines, and other individual and collaborative projects. Guest speakers also bring fresh perspective and specific expertise to challenge members over the year.

*Club-like atmosphere in person, with pizza and/or snacks and time to socialize.
